I am disgusted to discover that of ALL banks in AUSTRALIA, CommBank is one of the the biggest investor in dirty coal to the tune of $3.9bn !!! As such, i rate it as a bank to be AVOIDED by anyone who wants a sustainable future for their children and grandchildren. If CommBank doesnt divest from fossil fuels more and more people like me will choose another bank.

I am disappointed to find out that Commonwealth Bank is the biggest investor of fossil fuels in 2016. I have been a customer for the past 7 years having a mortgage and savings account. I am now moving my accounts to Summerland Credit Union who do not invest in fossil fuels at all. We all need to come together in saving our Great Barrier Reef and to have a liveable planet for all of us. Since governments and corporations seem to want to go on with the business as usual, it's up to us to invest in companies with the right environmental and social ethics. Customer support was pretty good but I feel I have to stop having my personal finances attached to investments in dirty energy when alternatives are clean renewables available that should be invested in.

CommBank is the biggest financial supporter of coal in Australia and is funding the odious Adani mine proposal. I am about to cancel my final account with CommBank and I can see that many other people are doing the same.

Brilliant staff and what a great experience! Went through all my banking and provided really good advice on my banking. Recommend everyone to get an overview on their banking with the Lismore team.

I am 46 years old and I have banked with the commonwealth my whole life. My kids now have commonwealth accounts too but I am now considering moving my whole family to another bank. I now feel out of integrity with my family knowing that the Comm Bank invested $3.9 billion in fossil fuels last year. We now know that burning coal to produce energy is archaic and has been superseded by cleaner renewable energy technology. This technology is here today. We must act responsibly as stewards of the environment and pass on a better world to our future generations. The only future these generations have is in renewable energy. Shame Commonwealth Bank Shame!
